About this app

Initiative Tracker is a combat tracker for game masters running fifth-edition-compatible tabletop games. Put the party and the monsters on the board, roll initiative, and tap Next turn, or try a sample fight first. The app keeps the order, the round, the hit points and every condition, so you can keep your eyes on the players.

THE INITIATIVE RAIL
Everyone in the fight sits on one track, highest initiative first, and whoever's turn it is glows gold. Ties go by Dexterity, then players before monsters, so the order never shuffles on its own. Move someone who delays, change a roll mid-fight, or add a lair turn on initiative 20.

HIT POINTS WITHOUT A KEYBOARD
Tap a combatant, type the number on the pad, and choose Damage, Heal or Temp HP. Temporary hit points soak damage first. Hit several creatures at once: enter the damage once, mark who saved for half, and resistance, vulnerability and immunity are read from each stat block. Every change can be undone, a whole fireball at once.

DEATH SAVES
A player at 0 HP keeps their turn and the tracker asks for a death save: roll it in the app or mark the one they rolled. A natural 20 puts them back on their feet; a natural 1 counts twice.

CONDITIONS THAT TICK DOWN
All fifteen conditions, including exhaustion levels 1 to 6. Give a condition a duration in rounds and it falls off by itself. Mark concentration, and damage tells you the save DC to keep it.

675 STAT BLOCKS FROM BOTH SRDS
Every creature in the SRD 5.1 (334) and the SRD 5.2 (341), with full stat blocks one tap from the order: abilities, saves, skills, defenses, senses, traits, actions, reactions and legendary actions. Search by name and filter by type and challenge rating. Pick the 2014 or 2024 rules in Settings.

ROLL FROM THE STAT BLOCK
Tap Roll on an attack, pick a target and the d20 meets its AC: hit, miss or critical. The damage dice tumble out and land on the card in fire, frost or lightning. A breath weapon fills in the save for you.

BOSS FIGHTS
Legendary actions refill at the start of the creature's turn, legendary resistances count down, and recharge abilities roll their d6 for you and show the result.

YOUR PARTY, YOUR ENCOUNTERS, YOUR MONSTERS
Save the player characters once, with their level, AC, hit points and initiative bonus. Build encounters ahead and see how hard each is for your party, from the SRD 5.2 XP budgets. Make your own stat blocks, or copy any SRD monster and change it.

A FACE FOR EVERYONE AT THE TABLE
Give each character and monster a portrait: take a photo, choose one from your phone, or draw your own on the parchment sketch pad. Portraits show on the order, in the player view and on your own stat blocks, and stay on your device.

SHARE WITH ANOTHER DM
Send an encounter or a monster of your own as a file, or any stat block as a picture. Open a shared file and it is added to yours, never replacing anything.

A VIEW FOR THE PLAYERS
Turn the screen to the table, or cast it to a TV: the round, whose turn it is, who is next, and the order. Monster hit points are never shown, only whether a monster is unhurt, hurt or bloodied.

MADE FOR THE TABLE
- The screen stays awake while the tracker is open
- Table effects: embers off a fallen monster, a banner each round, a burst on a natural 20. One switch turns them off
- On a tablet, the order and the selected combatant sit side by side
- Dice roller with advantage and disadvantage
- Large text and screen readers supported
- Works with no connection; everything stays on your device, and a backup file saves it all

FREE, WITH A SMALL BANNER
A banner ad appears on the party screen and in Settings. No ads on the tracker itself, and nothing to buy.
