About this app

MAUSAM is a Mobile App of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India to provide seamless and user-friendly access to weather products available on https://mausam.imd.gov.in/. Users can access observed weather, forecasts, radar images and be proactively warned of impending weather events.

Unable to use the app, if location permission is not given or enabled. If permission is not given, then users should be allowed to manually input the location It will be great if they can they open source the development (only app not backend). Most of bugs can be resolved with active development from collabrators.

Why are you harassing us like this by creating such an app? Your app asks for an OTP at 7 AM when I try to register, but the OTP is sent to me via Gmail around 12 PM. How am I supposed to fill in the OTP then? And when the OTP finally arrives, your app doesn't continue; I have to fill in everything again from scratch. By then, the OTP has already expired. You claim the OTP is valid for 10 minutes, but I've tried it as soon as the OTP arrived, and it still doesn't work.It says the OTP is invalid

The app never seems to be able to refresh. always giving "no internet connection" even on 5G wifi or network. Sometimes even after refreshing, the data shown is from the last time the app was opened indicating that data exchange is an issue. Developers don't seem to know about tech like "gzip, brotli or deflate" to reduce bandwidth and improve speed. It's a good initiative, don't kill it with your substandard coding.
