About this app

MAUSAM is a Mobile App of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India to provide seamless and user-friendly access to weather products available on https://mausam.imd.gov.in/. Users can access observed weather, forecasts, radar images and be proactively warned of impending weather events.

Great features on paper, but terrible execution. The app never works— it's totally broken, nothing seems to work, no hourly forecasts, takes forever just to open, the developers need to focus on the basics: making a fast, reliable app that actually loads the weather forecasts for your location. It doesn't even let me submit the review from it's dedicated "Rate App" feature. 🤡

i cant understand why the government apps are still so bad. even a weather app is having so many issues- not fetching location, constantly stuck on loading, inaccurate temperature, amateur UX, half working widgets.And why the heck it needs "phone number" permission access?

The is a good reliable source for weather informations. The app has an option for selecting "Favourite Location". There is no any option to select or choose it. Notifications about the weather must be displayed which is very important but it is not showing after selecting the relevant options. Please look into the matter and sort them out.
