Need a doctor that takes your insurance? InNetworkCheck is an insurance card scanner and doctor finder for anyone with a US insurance card. Point your camera at your card and in seconds you get doctors, dentists, eye doctors and pharmacies near you that work with your plan. Free, with no account, no email and no signup.
NOT A GOVERNMENT APP
InNetworkCheck is an independent app from a private developer. It does not represent any government entity and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, HealthCare.gov, the VA or any other government agency. It uses public government data, and the sources are listed below.
SCAN YOUR INSURANCE CARD
Take a photo of the front and back of your card. InNetworkCheck reads the plan name, member ID, group number and pharmacy codes, then explains what each one means in plain English. The photo is processed on the fly and never stored on our servers.
FIND IN-NETWORK DOCTORS NEAR YOU
Type a zip code and pick doctors, dentists, vision or pharmacy. Every provider is checked against the federal NPI registry and Medicare's provider data. Distance, phone, hours and ratings on every listing, with one tap to call.
AN HONEST ANSWER ON EVERY RESULT
Every provider carries a stamp so you know how sure we are. Green: someone on your plan booked there recently and told us it went through. Blue: the provider is real and active in the federal NPI registry and Medicare's provider data. Amber: not confirmed yet, so we hand you a call script filled in from your card. After your call, one tap tells the next family what you heard.
IS MY DOCTOR IN NETWORK?
Insurance directories are often out of date, so InNetworkCheck gives you a 30-second call script, filled in with your plan details, to confirm in-network status with the front desk before you go. Other users report what they heard, so the next person benefits.
CHECK YOUR MEDICAL BILL
Got a confusing bill? Upload a photo and get every line explained, red flags called out, and a ready-to-send dispute letter.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
The No Surprises Act protects you from most surprise medical bills. A plain-English guide tells you what the law covers and exactly what to do, including the No Surprises Help Desk number run by CMS.
INSURANCE GLOSSARY
Deductible, copay, coinsurance, HMO vs PPO, prior authorization, BIN and PCN. Short explainers for every term on your card.
SAVE YOUR CARD
Keep your card details on your phone for next time. Stored only on your device, never uploaded to an account.
ENGLISH AND SPANISH
The whole app works in both.
WORKS WITH MOST US PLANS
Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Kaiser, Molina, Centene, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, CHAMPVA and most other US plans.
