About this app

TwigJournal gives home gardeners a beautifully tactile way to log everyday plant care without clutter, reminders, or complicated menus. The entire experience is built around the feeling of tying soft twine tags to branches, so recording a feeding, pruning, repotting, or misting session feels as natural as stepping into your garden shed. Each plant you care for gets its own wooden label, and every action you take becomes a small twine bow tag pinned to a pegboard-style screen with a distinct thread color for the care type. Your data stays privately on your device, stored locally and available instantly across four simple sections. The Today tab shows only the care entries you have logged on the current date, displayed as a quiet vertical column of twine-tag cards sorted newest first. If the day is quiet, you are greeted by a sleepy terracotta pot instead of an empty list. The Garden tab arranges your plants into three shallow horizontal lanes that show what needs pruning, what needs feeding, and what has been repotted this season, with tiny wooden pegs that develop a crack and dried moss if a plant has gone eight weeks without care. The Plants tab gathers every plant name into a tied-twig bundle of slim burnt-etched labels, each accented with a colored bead that matches the last care type, and tapping any label opens a filtered logbook view for that plant alone. The Logbook presents your full care history as a handwritten-style pocket journal on cream notebook paper, using hand-drawn care icons and margin lines to make every past entry feel personal and readable. From the dashboard, two small bark-edged cards give you an at-a-glance count of this season’s pruning actions and the total number of unique plants you are tending, while a birch cross-section button lets you capture a new care entry in seconds. A long press on any twine tag card triggers a soft leaf-sweep animation to delete the record, keeping the garden tidy without harsh confirmations. Because there are no cloud accounts or automated alerts, the app fits naturally into the rhythm of gardeners who already enjoy using physical plant labels outdoors and simply want a gentle record that lives in their pocket. TwigJournal turns routine care into a quiet, satisfying ritual that helps you notice patterns across the seasons, all wrapped in warm wood tones, chalk lines, and sunlit pegboard shadows that make your phone feel like a small extension of the garden itself.
