ACCESS

Island Savings is a division of First West Credit Union. Access is available to all members who currently use our online banking service. If you're not a First West Credit Union member, no problem—simply visit join.islandsavings.ca to set up a new membership and you'll get access as soon as your account is approved.

PERMISSIONS

In order to use the Island Savings Mobile App, you'll need to grant our app permission to access certain functions on your mobile phone, including:

• Full network access – Allows our app to connect to the Internet.
• Approximate location – Find our nearest branch or 'ding-free' ATM by allowing our app to access your phone's GPS.
• Take pictures and videos – Deposit cheques using Deposit Anywhere™ right from your mobile phone by allowing our app access to your phone camera.
• Access to your phone contacts – Get the utmost in convenience by allowing our app to access your list of contacts, that way you can send an Interac® e-Transfer to someone on your contact list without manually setting them up as a recipient in mobile banking.
Depending on your operating system, these permissions may be worded differently on your Android™ phone.

Use of the Mobile App is subject to the terms and conditions found in our First West Credit Union Account Access Agreement for both personal and business accounts.

Still junk. Update made it worse. Now quickview doesnt work. Even when I turn it on, it just turns back off. Reinstalled app, same issues. This is still the worst app I have ever used. Constant pauses for loading and never ending crashes! What more could you want from you banking app?

Great app, works a bit faster and takes photos of the check better. But I want 2 features that existed in the old one and I don't see in the new one. 1. When making an e-transfer, it used to show current balance of the account on every screen. Very nice, want it in the new version. 2. Linking a Colabria master card. Please make this available again. Saves time significantly.

I can't use the deposit function on my LG phone. The app stretches the cheque image no matter what distance I take the photo from, thus giving an error message every time. Super frustrating. Works fine for HTC and Samsung. Also doesn't allow to paste in any of the fields. So for an example can't copy an amount from one screen of another app/email and paste it into the bill payment screen.
