Gestus is a free app for learning Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) efficiently and independently, designed for those who want to communicate with the Brazilian deaf community.

Learning is based on flashcards with spaced repetition — a scientifically proven method that optimizes memorization by reviewing each sign at the right time, before you forget it. The more you practice, the more the app learns your pace and adapts the sessions to maximize your progress.

Each study session has two phases:
- Recognition: you watch the video of the sign and try to identify it
- Production: the name of the sign appears and you practice executing it

This complete cycle — seeing and doing — is what transforms passive vocabulary into real communication.
