Serene Reader – read, listen, scan and understand documents more easily.
Serene Reader is designed for people who want a simple way to read books and documents, listen to text, scan printed pages, translate content and use AI assistance in one application.
Open PDF, EPUB and text documents and enjoy comfortable reading with text-to-speech narration. Serene Reader can automatically detect the document language and help select an appropriate voice. You can choose from available narrator voices, adjust reading preferences and save your preferred settings.
Scan printed documents with your phone camera.
Built-in OCR converts photographed pages into editable and readable text. Scanned documents can be saved, reopened later, read aloud or translated. Multi-page documents are supported.
Translation and language support.
Translate text when needed and listen to the translated content using a suitable voice. Selected translation features can work offline, while additional functions are available when an internet connection is available.
Serene AI assistance.
Use Serene AI to summarize text, explain difficult passages, translate content or ask questions about what you are reading. AI access is integrated into the app, so users do not need to enter API keys or configure an AI provider.
Personal reading experience.
Serene Reader includes improved text-to-speech, a choice of available voices, language detection, document scanning and private voice recording tools. Personal recordings remain under the user’s control.
