Somehow, a bad app keeps getting worse. Features the Eagle touts simply don't work in the Android app, like conveniently printing puzzles. Navigation is a nightmare. Scrolling through the print edition in landscape view occasionally results in a zoomed out view that seems to require switching to portrait view, where the print is nearly too small to read comfortably. Combined with the continuing degradation in timeliness and completeness of local news, there doesn't seem to be any point to h

finally there is a newspaper format, but it keeps blinking when moving from one article to the next on my phone. Also, this morning when trying to use it in the format, after making it big enough the read then trying to go smaller to move to the next page, instead the screen locks up and the whole thing has to be restarted. I took the print edition for 22 years, but dropped it because the Eagle thought that subscribers should be paying for the newspaper, not so historically, think advertisers.

This app has always been problematic. This most recent update on 03/2026 did not fix the issues. If the app doesn't log me out or crashes and I am able to click on a story, the scrolling jumps around and freezes up.
