It works, but the ads are insufferable, and they expect you to pay over $30 a year to remove them when a new remote is only like $10, even an official Amazon remote is still less than the yearly price. I'm obviously only using this while I wait for a new remote to arrive.

excellent! I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found this. My firestick remote wasn't working so I couldn't use my firestick at all. I found a couple of apps but one wanted a subscription charge and the other couldn't even find my firestick to connect to it. I had almost given up when I spotted this and thought I'd give it one more shot. I'm so glad I did. almost immediately it found the firestick and connected to it. it's only been a day but it's been working perfectly so far.

App itself is a life saver if your firestick is already connected to WiFi network, useless if the firestick isn't connected... also they offer a paid version which is stupid IMO as you may as well just buy a remote or new a stick. as far as the free version goes tho it's worth it especially if you have no remote or like me have no batteries for your remote 😂
