If you have 1099 forms, don't bother with Keeper. They claimed they do them, then went months not bothering helping while saying they were there to help. I finally got a message stating I could request a partial refund on my subscription and was told I'd be hearing from billing. Then a message denying it because it's past the 60 days from signing up. It's not worth the hassle or run around you get. I wish I could give less then a star, but obviously not an option. Lol.

It's incredible to me that Keeper straight up denies you from looking at your estimated tax return after all that filing if you're trying to process it via desktop. The desktop side of their service is extremely bare bones and nearly non-functional, forcing you to try out their app. And the fact they force you to put in your bank information and ask for payment upfront first before even letting you do anything is very concerning.

Might update this review if changes made, this app has too many UX/CX cons. CONS: -Desktop features are severely restricted/non-existent. No one one wants to do tax stuff from a 5.8in screen and uploading documents. -Having to complete sign up via the app instead of persisting through desktop -No manual option for connecting bank (at least in the trial) -The trial is essentially useless if people can't experience the core features & you can ONLY subscribe though the app, which is stupid.

Hi Donovan, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience with our app's UX/CX. You can file taxes via our desktop; however, account setup requires app sign-in. We use Plaid for bank linking but manual expense addition is possible for unsupported banks. Please reach out to us via app or email so we can further assist!
