KIOS is designed to support people in opioid recovery. This app is part of a research study from UT Health San Antonio.
KIOS is for enrolled study participants only. You need an invitation from UT Health to create an account. If you have not been invited to the study, you will not be able to sign in.
WHAT YOU CAN DO IN KIOS
Check in on how you are doing
Answer a short set of questions about how you have been feeling, including sleep, pain, anxiety, mood, and cravings, along with substance use since your last check-in.
Get guidance based on your own answers
KIOS responds to what you report and offers coaching that fits your unique situation rather than generic advice.
Keep a journal
Choose from standard and customized prompts, write private entries, and work through your thoughts and feelings.
Use specialized resources and tools any time
Guided practice audio, a craving timer, a distraction spinner, and a learning library are available in your KIOS Toolkit.
See your progress
Track your check-in history, your opioid-free and substance-free streaks, and the wins you have logged along the way.
Set your own reminders
Choose when KIOS reminds you to check in.
GETTING HELP
If you are in crisis, KIOS points you to emergency services and the SAMHSA National Helpline, which is free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
KIOS does not provide medical care and does not replace your treatment team. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
