About this app

Tired of a cluttered, ad-filled TV home screen? Monet is a Material You launcher for Android TV and Google TV that turns your home screen into something you actually want to look at, built entirely for the remote.

Unlike other TV launchers, Monet shows no ads, no sponsored rows and no tracking, and needs no account. Just your apps, your style, and a home screen that feels new every day.

LIVING WALLPAPERS AND AMBIENT SCENES

Monet's standout feature is an animated weather live wallpaper: a real-time sky lives behind your home screen and follows your local weather and the time of day. Prefer a mood? Pick an ambient wallpaper instead, from deep space to a cozy fireside, and use any of them as a screensaver too.
- 26 scenes: rain, thunderstorm, snowfall, northern lights, fireflies, deep space, aquarium, lava lamp and more
- Auto mode mirrors your real local weather in real time
- 27 curated moods like Starry Sky, Cherry Blossom and Fireside Evening
- Sunrise, day, sunset and night variants
- Accent colors that follow the current weather

REAL MATERIAL YOU THEMING

Monet brings real Material Design 3 to the big screen: dynamic color pulls an accent palette from your wallpaper and recolors the whole interface in real time.

GOOD TO KNOW
Monet works with your existing Continue Watching, Live TV and streaming apps, nothing to reconfigure. Core features are free; an optional one-time premium unlock adds advanced customization.

Monet Launcher runs on any Android TV 8.0+ or Google TV device: NVIDIA Shield TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Google TV Streamer, Xiaomi Mi Box, onn 4K, Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and more.

Install Monet Launcher and make your Android TV home screen your own.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE NOTICE
Monet uses an optional Android AccessibilityService only for launcher behavior on Android TV: detecting Home-key presses and launcher window changes so Monet stays your home screen after pressing Home, after the stock launcher appears, or after standby. Monet cannot read screen contents and never stores, uploads, sells or shares service data. You can disable it anytime; Monet works without it.

Ratings and reviews

It's ok. You'd have to pay for using a custom background (picture or video) in the homescreen. Which I did. But am a bit dissapointed in that, when using a custom video homescreen, it is limited only up to 8-10 seconds in length. And it wont read all videos for some reasons too. No speed setting as well (like couchy launcher). The PIN/lockable app is a great idea especially if you have kids. But I haven't really tried it. I should have just stuck with Couchy Launcher instead.

Switched from Projectivity to this, not because Projectivity was bad but rather just to try it. It's not quite as customizable but way more accessible to the average user. Unlocking premium hasn't made it available on all my devices. Not sure if that's Google's problem or a feature/bug. N. B. Premium unlock seems to require using the Play Store from my phone to install the app on any device after the first one. Again, this may be a Google thing. Or maybe it's just me 🙄

Really enjoying this launcher on my TCL TV. Since I don't have many apps on my home screen, it would be nice to be able to insert blank rows so my apps are not bunched up at the top. A custom row can be used without any apps inserted but it always has the big + button. Removing the + button removes the row.
