About this app

Klypp is a simple self-hosted media mover for people running their own servers
(Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, and more). No port forwarding, no API keys, and no
publicly exposed web UI required.

Requires the Klypp Server app. The mobile app won’t work on its own — you must
install Klypp Server on a PC, NAS, or home server that has access to your media.

Klypp uses a secure relay and your Klypp account to link your phone to your
server—without opening ports on your router.

Install the Klypp server app on your media box, point it at your libraries,
log in from your phone, and start moving files. That’s it.

Built for home labs & media servers
• Designed for Plex/Jellyfin-style setups with local or NAS storage
• Works with shares and mounted volumes you already have
• No VPN, dynamic DNS, or router port openings required
• No scripts, cron jobs, or custom webhooks to maintain

With Klypp you can:
• Move and organize files between your server and storage locations
• Monitor transfer progress, speed, and time remaining from your phone
• See what’s in progress and what finished recently
• See upcoming episodes based on your own library, so you always know what’s next to watch or copy
• Automatically clean up completed transfers and keep folders tidy
• Keep your media library structured and easy to browse

Getting started

Install Klypp Server (required): the mobile app connects to your server, so you’ll need Klypp Server running on a device that can access your media.
• Downloads for Windows, macOS, and Linux: https://app.klyppedit.com/

• Docker image: bzlbub/klyppserver on Docker Hub
• Help, docs, and overview: https://www.klyppedit.com/

Create or sign in with your Klypp account in the mobile app.

In Klypp Server, point Klypp at your media libraries and storage locations, then start managing transfers from your phone.

Privacy & Data
Klypp does not collect, share, or sell your personal data.
You create a Klypp account so we can connect your devices, but your media files
stay on your own hardware—we don’t upload your media library files to our servers.

What’s new

Improved connection resilience after background/lock: Transfers, Processing Queue, and Server Logs now recover faster on resume, avoid reconnect thrash, and handle temporary DNS failures with safer retry/fallback behavior.
