Klypp is a self-hosted media mover and server automation app for people running their own home servers, NAS devices, and media libraries. It helps you move, organize, monitor, and manage files from your phone without exposing a public web UI or opening router ports.
Klypp requires Klypp Server. The mobile app does not work on its own. Install Klypp Server on a PC, NAS, or home server that has access to your media storage, then sign in from the mobile app to connect your devices.
Klypp uses a secure relay and your Klypp account to link your phone to your server without port forwarding, VPN setup, dynamic DNS, or API keys.
Built for home labs and media servers
• Designed for Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, and similar self-hosted setups
• Works with local storage, mounted drives, and network shares
• No router port openings required
• No custom scripts, cron jobs, or webhooks required for media transfers
• Manage server-side transfers and automation from your phone
With Klypp you can:
• Move and organize files between your server and storage locations
• Send videos, photos, and other files from your phone back to your home server
• Monitor transfer progress, speed, and estimated time remaining
• See active, completed, and recent transfers
• View upcoming episodes based on your own library
• Automatically clean up completed transfers
• Keep your media folders structured and easy to browse
• Run your own server scripts on demand or on a schedule
• Get push notifications when scripts succeed or fail
Server automation
Klypp can also run custom scripts on your home server, either on demand from your phone or on a schedule. Use your own Bash or PowerShell scripts for tasks like checking NAS space, testing server network speed, restarting services, or running your own maintenance workflows, with push notifications when scripts pass or fail.
