About this app

Who paid for the groceries? Who owes what to whom? Kotisso answers, and nobody has to redo the accounts on the corner of a table.

You create a group, you invite the people who share the expense, and everyone notes what they pay when they pay it. Kotisso keeps the balances, and proposes the shortest way to settle everything: at worst one transfer fewer than there are people.

WHO IT IS FOR

• A flatshare: rent, groceries, internet, and the month's count takes care of itself.
• A holiday with several people: the car, the house, the restaurants, without the spreadsheet on the way home.
• Separated parents: the children's costs, noted as they come, with a summary you can print and keep.

WHAT IT DOES

• Four ways to split an expense: evenly, by shares, by percentages or by exact amounts. The indivisible cent is always allocated, never lost: the sum of the shares always equals the expense.
• Accurate balances, updated instantly on the screen of everyone who has the group open.
• The shortest repayment plan, worked out for you.
• Expenses that come back on their own: rent every month, a subscription every week.
• Group categories, with their icon and their colour, and how the money splits across them.
• The photo of the receipt attached to an expense: the till slip, the invoice.
• Expenses approved by the people they concern, when the group asks for it: everyone, or a majority.
• The group's count exported to a spreadsheet or to PDF, to archive it or to settle amicably.
• Two roles only, organiser and member, and a group that always keeps at least one organiser.

ON THE PHONE

Kotisso installs on the home screen and opens without a network on the last known state, and it says so clearly when the figures are old. A long press on the icon opens "Add an expense" directly. Writing a new expense needs a connection.

SIXTEEN LANGUAGES, AND THE RIGHT NUMBERS

French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Korean. Amounts, dates and separators follow the language: "1 234,50 EUR" is not written "EUR1,234.50", and taking a decimal comma for a thousands separator makes you read the amount a thousand times too big.

WHAT KOTISSO DOES NOT DO

Kotisso never touches your money: no transfer, no card, no bank account to connect. It keeps the accounts, you settle them however you like. It shows no advertising, resells nothing, and does not try to find out where you have been.

The rule that governs everything else, and that will not move: the sum of the balances of a group is always exactly zero.
Flatshare, holidays, co-parenting: note who paid, Kotisso keeps the balance.
