Another app that was great a year ago but stopped working and nobody seems to care. Constant issues with downloads failing regardless of connection to WiFi or phone (both devices are Samsung Galaxy watch/phone, so shouldn't be any compatibility issues at all), and in the last week crashes every time a download is attempted. Definitely time to switch to another podcast/music app.

I care. The last update had a bug related to downloads that will be fixed in the next update going out in a couple days.

Thank you for your response re BT issues. However.... i have become so frustrated with downloads always failing. I gave up on auto... never worked. Been trying to do manually.... but still failing 90% of the time. Restarted Watch. FORCESTOPPED PHONE APP... Just no success. I bought a New Watch 6 hoping to have better performance with this app. It too bad... you have so many wonderful features... but if download doesn't work... it defeats my use case of working out with my phone.

Sorry you are still having download issue. This may be a WearOS or network issue. Once a download is started the process is handed off to WearOS. Wear Casts doesn't have control over the actual downloads.

This is by far the most mature podcast app for Wear Os in the Play Store. It is not perfect, but has been great for me on the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. I see some folks having issues with downloading files, but the watch behavior with Wifi is limited by Wear OS (to conserve battery) not by the app. I find that if I enable Wifi and disable Bluetooth on the watch, downloads work like a charm. The developer is active and quickly replies to inquiries.
