AdSlayer is a privacy and security tool that filters ads, trackers, malware domains, and phishing sites across your entire device — not just inside one browser.
HOW IT WORKS
AdSlayer uses Android's built-in VPN framework to inspect DNS requests on your device and block the ones that match known ad, tracker, malware, or phishing domains. It does not intercept, decrypt, or read your browsing content — only the domain names your apps are trying to reach. No traffic is routed through any remote server; filtering happens entirely on your device.
WHAT IT BLOCKS
• Ad and tracker domains, using curated public block lists (AdAway, AdGuard DNS filter, EasyPrivacy)
• Known malware and phishing domains (Phishing Army)
• Your own custom domains, which you can block or allow yourself
PER-APP CONTROL
Choose which apps are protected and which are allowed to bypass filtering — useful for apps that break when ads are blocked, or ones you trust completely.
WHAT ADSLAYER CANNOT DO
We'd rather tell you this upfront than have you find out the hard way. AdSlayer filters at the DNS level, so it cannot block ads that are served from the same domain as the app or website's actual content — this includes YouTube's in-video ads and many in-feed ads on social apps. It also cannot inspect encrypted app traffic, and it is not a replacement for antivirus software. If an app advertises "block all ads," be skeptical of that claim — no DNS filter can do that.
PRIVACY
AdSlayer does not collect analytics, does not require an account, and does not send your data anywhere. Activity logs and statistics are stored only on your device and can be cleared at any time. Read the full privacy policy in the app for details.
NO ROOT REQUIRED
AdSlayer works entirely through Android's standard VPN permission — no root access, no accessibility service, and no modification of other apps.
Block lists are maintained by their respective third-party publishers; AdSlayer is not affiliated with them
