About this app

With this keyboard a user can switch between the QWERTY and the Indian keyboards without any effort. The layouts are so designed that users can find the most frequently used characters in one place. The preview of shift keys helps to easily find out the letters.

Few salient features of this keyboard are-

a) Easy switching of languages, b)Auto suggestion of words based on Machine Learning in English, Assamese, Bangla and Hindi languages , c) Automatic saving of words which are not in dictionary, d) Smart Punctuation. Commonly used punctuation marks are in the main keyboards, e) Double tapping of the spacebar inserts a period and a space in both the languages., f)Efficient single handed typing , g) A collection of 400+ modern emojis, h)Works in almost all versions of Android etc.

To activate the keyboard after installation, please follow the below mentioned steps:

1. Open the app.
2. Click on Enable Lachit Keyboard.
3. Select Lachit or Lachit Bangla or Lachit Hindi as per requirement.
4. Come back the previous screen.
5. Click on Make Lachit Default Keyboard.
6. Start typing.
Optional: Choose theme from Keyboard Settings.

Ratings and reviews

From last few days, there is a bar coming whenever I try to open an app due to this keyboard. using this keyboard almost for 9 years. facing this for first time. it's very disturbing.

The Lachit Assamese Keyboard is a fantastic tool for typing in Assamese, and I truly appreciate the effort behind this app. It's functional and makes typing in our native language easy. However, there’s room for improvement: The UI needs a refresh to make it more modern and user-friendly. Adding themes would be a great way to personalize the keyboard and enhance the typing experience. Introducing stickers or emoji options tailored to Assamese culture

দাদা, "চাৰ্ছ" বাটনটোৱে কাম নকৰে কেতিয়াবা৷ Update 1: after latest update, there was a big line coming at the bottom of my other phone (note 5 pro, android 9). Uninstalled and found that it was gone. Tried to re-install, google saying can't be installed. That's why had to write in English this time 😬 Update 2: current available version in 3.8 for both of my devices. Other device running on android 12 does not have this issue. আপডেট ৩: সমাধান হ’ল৷

What’s new

-Predictions now show in browsers.
-Conjunct characters like ড° ডা° ক্ষ ্য etc now can be typed in browsers. These characters now will appear in normal sizes like other characters.
-Some Keys hiding inside right edge of the device is solved.
-Overall performance improvement and bug fixes.
