About this app

Philips Soundbar IR Remote turns your Android phone's built-in infrared blaster into a remote control for Philips soundbars.

HOW IT WORKS
There is no way for an app to detect which physical remote your soundbar responds to, so this app includes every remote profile captured for Philips soundbars — 12 remotes, 205 buttons in total. Point your phone at the soundbar and try Power on each remote until one responds. The remote that works is remembered and shown first the next time you open the app.

WHAT YOU GET
• 12 Philips remote profiles, 205 buttons combined
• Power, volume, playback, bass/treble, inputs and more, grouped by what they do — even the largest remote here, with 33 buttons, stays easy to scan
• No account and no sign-in
• No internet connection needed to send a command — everything transmits directly from your phone over infrared

REQUIREMENTS
This app needs a phone with a built-in infrared (IR) blaster. Most modern phones do not have one, and no app — including this one — can add that hardware capability. Phones known to include an IR blaster: Xiaomi/Redmi, Poco, Huawei/Honor, LG G2–G5, HTC One, TCL, and older Samsung Galaxy models (S4–S6), among others. If your phone has no IR blaster, the app will tell you plainly rather than pretending to work.

ABOUT ADS
This app is free and supported by ads (Google AdMob). Ad frequency is deliberately limited — you will not see an ad on every screen or every button press.

DISCLAIMER
This is an independent, unofficial infrared remote app. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Koninklijke Philips N.V. The name "Philips" is used only to describe which soundbars these infrared codes are intended for. All product and company names are the trademarks of their respective owners.
