Horrible, I've lived in 2 apartments that have moved to the Latch app and I absolutely hate it. The "Hold near to unlock" feature never works, and even if it did a regular fob would be much easier anyway. I'm using the Android version and there does not seem to be an update option in the app and the version is not listed on Google Play so I'm not even sure if I'm on the most current version.

It works, but it doesn't work well. my phone died, and i got caught in the rain outside my apartment building. i had to wait 1.5 hours for my roommate to come back in order to get inside. having a phone needing bluetooth, NFC, and wifi instead of a regular key and lock is a faulty system with plenty of things that can and will go wrong. it logs me out and sometimes flat out refuses to open a door. i dont have access to the gym or the stairwell and nobody can fix it. avoid this system if you can.

Sounds good in theory, but not so in practice. Every time I have to open/unlock my phone, open the app, hit the unlock button or hold near the door. It's a pain if your hands are full vs a fob that can hang on your pinky. There is always a 5-10 second delay for the door to unlock vs a fob that is instantaneous. For the garage door, you can't program Latch to the pre-installed buttons in a car like a fob. I've also had issues with it working at all when I am paired to bluetooth earbuds.
