About this app

Lectern is a professional sheet music reader for Android, built for musicians who care about their craft, and their tools.
Most Android sheet music apps feel like they were designed as an afterthought. Lectern was built from the ground up with one goal: to give Android musicians the polished, intuitive reading experience they deserve.

A library that works the way you think

Lectern gives you the full power of both folders and tags. Organize your scores the way that makes sense for you. Create folders by composer, ensemble, or genre. Tag pieces by difficulty, key, or instrumentation. Sort and filter your entire library in seconds. Whether you have 10 scores or 10,000, finding the right piece at the right moment is effortless.

Designed for the stage

When you're in front of an audience or deep in rehearsal, your tools need to disappear. Lectern's reading experience is clean, distraction-free, and fast. Connect a Bluetooth page turner and never break your flow. Build setlists in advance so your next piece is always one tap away.

Professional annotation tools

Mark up your scores the way you would on paper, and more. Lectern's annotation tools are powerful enough for serious musicians and intuitive enough that they never get in the way.

Your library, everywhere

Connect Dropbox or Google Drive to keep your scores backed up and accessible. Your library stays safe and synced across your devices.
Built by a musician, for musicians
Lectern was created by a software engineer who got tired of compromising. If you've ever wished Android had a sheet music reader worth using, this is it.

I found this app by accident this weekend. The look of the app is clean and not clunky. I learned to use it in under 5 minutes and had my digital library transferred & organized the way I like it in less than 1 hour. You can bookmark larger pdf documents, annotate music, and page turning & navigation in the app is very smooth. There were some initial problems with backing up to Dropbox and a couple of other issues but the developers were so responsive and the issues are now resolved.

Finally a good alternative on android. Before I bought an ipad, because the sheetmusic software on android was very poor, but this app I really like. It looks good, it works very well, and it does almost everything I need. Now I can get rid of my ipad.

a pretty straight forward sheet music reader designed with musicians in mind (especially for performance). Mainly for tablet users, but still nice on phones if you have good eyes
