About this app

Combine this app with the LEGO DC Super Heroes App-Controlled Batmobile (76112), the LEGO City Cargo Train (60198), or the LEGO City Passenger Train (60197) (each sold separately) to operate the motorized engines via Bluetooth controls, or use your imagination and build entirely new creations using LEGO Powered Up components and bring them to life by coding them. Make your models move and respond to real-world events.

The LEGO Powered Up app puts you in the driver’s seat of the awesome 4-wheel-drive Batmobile to speed through the streets of GOTHAM CITY™. Drive forwards, backwards, left and right… or pull 360-degree turns! You can even activate cool tricks and stunts as you become the Dark Knight and fight crime. You can customize and code your Batmobile tricks and choose your sounds and movements – pretty awesome!

The LEGO Powered Up app also controls LEGO trains to haul goods or pick up passengers around LEGO City. You can control the speed, change directions, and bring even more life to your play with various sounds such as a whistle, passenger announcement, railroad crossing bell, and more! The Bluetooth remote control app and the remote control handset included in the LEGO City train sets aren’t compatible with older infrared remote-controlled LEGO train sets.

Thanks to Powered Up components like hubs, motors, sensors, and lights you will be able to bring your customized creations to life. You can also bring your existing LEGO models to life.

works for on my old tablet, but my pixel 3 doesn't function correctly. Thank you for the reply. The app does download and technically is does connect. The issue is the left/right motor controls appear to have a glitch in the programming. After using it on both the tablet and phone, they both lose control of the motors. The forward/reverse functions don't work consistently. I suspect it's a bug in the programming. I wish we could edit the motor controls instead of just the three special buttons. That way I could trouble shoot your setup.

Edit: Lego's response here show's how little they understand the problem. Let the user decide when they want the dumb "smart" hub to stop. I run trains at home and at conventions and expos. Can't do either with a phone that has to constantly stay on to be connected. Doesn't show up in my list of installed apps even when I type in Lego. But, that's not the bad part. IF you can get it to connect with the train, good luck using the app. Soon as you turn off the screen, switch to a different app, have a screen saver kick in, it tells the train to stop. How utterly dumb. I'm not going to leave my cell phone running the entire time i have the train going. Just plain stupid. If you're going to insist on that being a function, have it one you can turn off.😡

We're sorry to hear you've experienced frustration with the app!😰 To maintain the Bluetooth connection to your smart hub, your phone must be awake to stay connected during play.🔗📱 The hub will shut off if your lock screen is active to save power. If you'd like longer play time, you can change the lock timer in your device settings!⏰🔋 —Callie

Update: After the last app updates all the problems of one side disconnecting seem to have been fixed. Haven't had any more issues. Works great now. Original: As everyone else with the batmobile says, one side always glitches and stops working on all phones we tried it on (Note 9, S7 edge, S7 etc...). and yes, GPS location is on, access granted and everything. Programmed scenarios still work on both motors, so it's not a bluetooth thing but a bug in the app itself. Very disappointing.

What's new

With this new update, the LEGO Powered UP App is back on track!
We added two new experiences for the new LEGO CITY Passenger Express Train (60337), and the LEGO CITY Freight Train (60336). With the two new trains you’ll get:

- New widgets in the same look and feel as the two new trains.
- Weather selector, that allows you to change weather conditions.
- Steering controls, and speedometer displays.
- Adaptive engine, and effect-sounds that react to the train’s movement.
