LessScreen is an on-device productivity and focus companion for people who want to spend less time scrolling and more time completing meaningful priorities.
Choose what matters today, give it an Urgent, Very high, Medium, or Low priority, set a due time and reminder rhythm, and mark it complete only when it is genuinely done. Create repeating daily routines for reading or recitation, or create counter tasks with targets such as 50 or 1,000. A small movable timer makes each screen session visible.
ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API USE
LessScreen is a productivity app, not an accessibility tool. Android AccessibilityService access is optional and is enabled only after LessScreen shows a separate in-app disclosure and the user gives affirmative consent.
When enabled, AccessibilityService is used only to:
• Observe the package name of the app currently in front when the active window changes. This transient signal lets user-enabled focus modes recognize supported distraction apps.
• Display the movable session timer, cat-only Focus Cat, and priority reminder windows above other apps.
• Return to the Android Home screen from supported distraction apps when the user has enabled Night Guardian or when an unfinished task reaches the user’s Commitment Mode threshold.
• Invoke Android’s lock-screen action only when the user has enabled overdue enforcement and a qualifying urgent or very-high-priority task passes its configured grace period.
LessScreen disables window-content retrieval. It does not read or collect screen text, typed text, passwords, messages, or form entries. Foreground package names observed through AccessibilityService are processed transiently on the phone and are not saved, transmitted, sold, or shared with Google Mobile Ads or any other third party. AccessibilityService data is not used for advertising, analytics, or profiling. Users can decline access and continue using task planning and local reminders, or disable the service at any time in Android Settings.

Task data and productivity history stay in the app’s private storage on the phone. Android notification access, Usage Access for the optional daily app-time report, and AccessibilityService access are requested separately and can be declined. LessScreen works with reduced features when optional access is not granted.
