About this app

Open OpenDocument files on your phone: ODT text documents and ODS spreadsheets, the format many office programs save in. No account needed.


■ Documents (.odt)

- Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, underline, colors and alignment.
- Bulleted and numbered lists, including lists inside lists.
- Tables, with merged cells and borders.
- Pictures stored inside the document.
- Footnotes and endnotes are gathered at the end.
- Find a word and step through every match.
- Links ask before they open in your browser.
- Dark mode keeps text readable. Turn on original colors to see the document's own colors.
- Save as PDF, or share the original file.


■ Spreadsheets (.ods)

- Switch between sheets. Hidden sheets are marked.
- Cells show the values saved in the file, such as formula results, dates and percentages.
- The first row stays at the top and the first column stays on the left while you scroll.
- Tap a header to sort, put a condition on a column to keep matching rows, and find any value.
- Tap a row number to see that row as a list.
- Column summary shows the sum, average, smallest and largest value and how many different values, for filtered rows too.
- Save a sheet as a CSV file.


■ Before you install

- This app only shows files. It does not change them.
- A document is shown as one continuous page. Page breaks, headers, footers and page numbers are not shown.
- Charts, drawings, comments and tracked changes are not shown. In spreadsheets, cell formatting is not shown and merged cells show the first cell's value.
- Password-protected files cannot be opened yet.
- Presentations (.odp) and drawings are not supported.
- Very large sheets show only the first part, and the screen says so. Sorting may not be available on very large sheets. Files of 50 MB or more cannot be opened.
- Requires Android 8.0 or later.


■ Files and privacy

Only the file you pick is read, and the app does not ask for access to all of your storage.
Files are shown on this device only. Nothing in them is uploaded, and pictures or links inside a document never load anything from the internet.
The internet connection and advertising ID are used only to show ads and send usage statistics, and Google services process device information for this. See the privacy policy for details.
