Ratings and reviews

Very misleading, tricked into yearly subscription as website said Netflix could be access on lingopie via the App. I have the App, logged into Netflix fine via the app, everything sets up fine, including subtitles - but you only get the spinning circle and nothing plays. So Netflix via the app, even though its set up doesn't work. Be careful and ignore the message on the browser page (mobile) that says you can watch Netfix via the lingopie app.

Update: they contacted me :) Website signup is not valid on the app. I signed up through their website and wanted to download the app afterwards but apparently they have two different system? I see that people struggle with cancelling via app, but if you sign up via their website you can cancel without any problems. Very odd way of doing business. The idea is great but you gotta work very hard to keep your customers hooked. Nobody wants to pay subscription fee to fraud-like management.

I've used Lingopie on and off for a couple of years. Initially,I rated it 5* but later reduced that rating to 1* after multiple problems accessing the site. I've just had a couple of months subscription to test it out again. My updated verdict. My most recent use I have had a much better experience. Many new features making the app more usable than ever. I'm slightly saddened to see a couple of my favourites disappear from the listings, and casting no longer seems to work but 4* overall.
