The app is a lot like Duolingo, except it's for learning ASL. It's easy to navigate and learn ASL as a beginner. I was really enjoying it overall! The "slow down" button does help me to learn the quicker signs easier. HOWEVER... It basically gives you an ultimatum- You can't progress without PURCHASING a subscription. Even with the promise of a 7-Day Free Trial, I am still feeling like it's really expensive! Options are to pay $18/monthly, $48/billed every 3 months, or $120/billed annually.

An absolutely excellent app. I was originally hesitant over the price, thinking there was no way an app could help me learn well enough to justify $17 a month on it. I've tried countless other websites and apps for ASL and they all feel dull and repetitive, teaching me sight-words and not actively teaching me how to communicate. THIS APP though! Oh my goodness. The methods of teaching are EXCELLENT and I'm actually learning, I recommend this to anyone that's on the fence.

I love using this app to learn ASL. I like going at my pace. There's a trainer to practice what I know, there's a dictionary for looking stuff up, and the chapters are outlined so I can refresh my memory or get excited about upcoming lessons. I always look forward to learning the lessons and practicing. I can put videos on slow-mo to see it better, and I can repeat them. If I have questions I use Google or ask my hearing cousin bc her mom (my aunt) is deaf. I like the Streak fires and the graces
