I'm writing this review purely to let the Literal devs (and I'm guessing you all must use iOS just based on the history of the Android version of this app 🙂) that the Literal app on Android does not have the Literal logo as the icon. It instead has the little Android creature as the icon which is probably just the default/result of not setting the icon in Android Studio. Super minor quality of life fix but I'd appreciate if it could be fixed.

The latest update ended up crashing the app to the point where it doesn't even open. Please look into it! I love this app and I've been using it for years, I would hate to see it dissappear. Thanks to the developers for building this and I hope you fix it soon.

This seemed like a nice app, but it has way too many problems. There are so many books that are not registered on the app. Missing covers, wrong titles or wrong authors. When I reread a book and edited the date, it appeared as if I read that book twice in a row on my yearly goal. Whenever I want to go back the page blocks or doesn't show the new progress. All that's nice is that you can give a .5 rating on books, but that's the only nice feature. It's very disappointing tbh.

What’s new

Fixes a crash that stopped the app from opening. Sorry about that.

Also in this update:
- Dark mode from the first frame, so no more black or white bars
- Faster to open, and it keeps your place instead of reloading
- Share a link or a book title into Literal from any other app
- literal.club links open directly in the app
- Rebuilt for current Android versions
