Routepia is an extremely simple recording app that overlays GPS tracks as a heatmap onto a map.

There are no flashy features or social media posting functions.

It's simply an app where your footprints quietly increase on the map—that's all it is.

■ Main Features

▷ Heatmap Recording

Continuously acquires your current location and records the places you've passed on the map as colored cells.

The more times you pass through a location, the darker the color becomes.

▷ Free Customization of the Base Map

Four modes: Light / Dark / Satellite / Blank.

You can individually show/hide POIs (restaurants, parks, schools, medical facilities, etc.), train stations, bus stops, airports, road labels, and administrative boundary labels.

For those who simply want to view their own footprints, deleting all POIs and making the background blank transforms the map itself into a single geometric drawing.

▷ Visualization of Statistics

You can always check the number of visited cells, visit count, and cumulative distance on the HUD on the home screen.

The achievement screen visualizes the completion rate of the specified area.

▷ Dark Mode

Supports a fully dark mode that links the UI and map. It's easy on the eyes even when viewing records late at night and blends seamlessly with action scenes.

▷ Background Recording

You can continue recording your movements by bicycle, train, or car even with the screen off.

▷ Privacy-Focused & Fully Local

Your location information never leaves your device.

No transmission to servers, no login required, no account registration required.

Deletion is completed simply by uninstalling the app.

■ Why a Heatmap?

There's a reason why we record using "cells (grids)" rather than lines (paths).

Lines emphasize "when you traveled," while cells emphasize "how often you traveled."
As you repeatedly travel, your living area and behavioral patterns naturally emerge on the map.

It's less of a travel record and more like a microcosm of yourself.

■ Notes

・Continuous use of GPS functionality consumes slightly more battery than when the function is completely off (optimized, but charging is recommended for long recordings).

・Google Maps is used for map display.

・This app does not transmit your location information externally. Google AdMob is used for the advertising SDK.
