Loom is a private, 100% offline note-taking app for people who want to write without being watched.
Your notes never leave your device. There's no account to create, no server storing your thoughts, no algorithm deciding what's important. Everything is encrypted and yours.
⬛ WRITE FREELY
Open the app and write. That's it. Loom stays out of your way — no folders to organize, no tags to assign before you can save, no onboarding to click through. Notes appear in a flowing deck ordered by when you last touched them. The newest is always at the bottom, ready.
⬛ A SENSORY, TACTILE EXPERIENCE
Loom is a sensory minimalist workspace designed with a letterpress aesthetic. High-fidelity haptic feedback makes interacting with your flowing deck of notes feel physical, precise, and satisfying.
⬛ CIRCADIAN COLORS & HANDMADE TEXTURES
Each note gets its own color drawn from a circadian-informed palette that shifts subtly with the time of day. Morning notes feel different from late-night ones. Some notes receive a handmade paper texture from BARF GARDEN in Chicago. The textures — linen, grain, weave — appear at random, so opening a note you haven't touched in a while can feel like finding a handwritten letter. More texture packs are planned, but no promises.
⬛ HASHTAGS THAT ORGANIZE THEMSELVES
Type a #hashtag anywhere in a note and Loom notices. Every tag you use becomes a feed you can switch to instantly — tap a tag in the bar at the top and see every note that belongs to it, nothing else. No manual filing. No dragging into folders. Your structure emerges naturally from how you write.
⬛ YOUR NOTES, YOUR FILE
Long-press the Loom logo at any time to export everything. You get all your notes as a clean Markdown archive, plus a JSON backup. No subscription required to get your own data out. No lock-in.
⬛ ONE PRICE, FOREVER
Loom starts with a free trial so you can write and decide at your own pace. After the trial, there's a single one-time purchase to unlock everything permanently — no subscription, no monthly fee, no upsells. Pay once, keep it forever. You'll never see a nag screen again.
⬛ WHAT LOOM DOES NOT DO
Loom does not have a cloud sync. It does not read your notes. It does not show ads. It does not have a social feed, a share-to-web button, or a "workspace" for teams. It is a notebook. A good one.
