MindfulChirp is a meditation timer built around one simple idea: a single, self-contained sound.
Most timers end with a blaring alarm you have to reach for and dismiss, jolting you out of the stillness you just cultivated. MindfulChirp plays one gentle chirp — and then it's silent. That's it. You can roll over and drift off to sleep without touching your phone. You can open your eyes, note the time, and know exactly how long your session lasted. No interruption, no urgency, just a soft marker in time.
Set it to ring every 5, 10, 20 minutes — or any interval you like — and optionally repeat the sound a few times so you don't miss it. Then put your phone down and forget about it.
─ WHY ONE CHIRP CHANGES EVERYTHING ─
When a timer fires once and goes quiet, it becomes a mindful cue rather than a demand. Whether you're:
• Timing a morning sit and want to know when 20 minutes have passed
• Meditating before bed and happy to just fall asleep when it sounds
• Using interval bells to gently anchor your attention during a longer session
• Practicing body scans, breathwork, or yoga nidra and need a soft end marker
…MindfulChirp gets out of the way and lets the practice lead.
─ A SOUND FOR EVERY PRACTICE ─
Choose from seven carefully selected sounds, each with its own character:
• Cricket — a quiet, natural pulse, almost imperceptible
• Wooden Block — a clean, dry tap, grounding and simple
• Bird — a single bright note, light and airy
• Little Bell — a soft, clear ring that fades gracefully
• Tibetan Bell — a rich, resonant tone with a long sustain
• Bell 2 — a slightly fuller bell, warm and round
• Wood Block 2 — a deeper knock, earthy and present
Preview each sound in the settings and pick the one that feels right for your practice.
─ NOTHING IN THE WAY ─
MindfulChirp has no accounts, no subscriptions, no notifications asking for reviews, and no background noise or music. It is a single-purpose tool: you set a time, you sit, it chirps once, and it's done.
