About this app

Lumen reads your EPUB and PDF books aloud — offline, in a natural on-device text-to-speech voice. No
cloud, no account, no subscription, no per-minute fees.

Turn any ebook into an offline audiobook with word-by-word read-along highlighting — a genuine aid for
dyslexia, low vision, and reading fatigue. A calm, private reader you own, not rent.

READ
• EPUB and PDF, with a clean, distraction-free dark interface.
• Light, Sepia, and Dark reading themes.
• Font-size zoom for EPUB; pinch zoom for PDF.
• Tap the edges to turn pages; tap a word to start listening there.
• Table of contents, bookmarks, and text highlights.
• Full-text search inside a book.
• Your place, bookmarks, and highlights are saved automatically.

LISTEN — on-device AI narration
• A natural neural voice (Kokoro) runs entirely on your phone. No internet needed to listen.
• Read-along: the sentence and the current word are highlighted as it speaks.
• Background and lock-screen playback with a sleep timer and adjustable speed (Pro).
• Because there's no cloud TTS bill, narration is yours — not metered by the minute.

DISCOVER
• Browse free OPDS catalogs (e.g. Project Gutenberg) and download books straight into your library.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Offline-first. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• Your books and reading data never leave your device.

FREE & PRO
• Free: read everything, plus 15 minutes of narration a day in one voice — with live word-by-word
read-along highlighting.
• Lifetime Pro (one-time purchase): unlimited narration, all 11 voices, sleep timer, speed control,
background/lock-screen playback, and custom themes — forever.

Lumen Reader is built for people who love to read and listen, and who'd rather own their reading
experience than rent it.
