About this app

Discover Ireland through self-guided GPS audio tours made for the open road.

MacÉireann turns your phone into an Irish tour guide, storyteller and navigation companion. Choose an Ireland driving tour, follow turn-by-turn directions and hear stories about the places around you as you travel.

GPS-TRIGGERED IRISH AUDIO TOURS

Stories play automatically as you approach each stop, so you can keep your attention on the road. Hear tales of Irish history, folklore, castles, saints, rebels, poets and local life—told by authentic Irish voices.

TURN-BY-TURN NAVIGATION

Follow scenic driving routes with built-in GPS navigation. MacÉireann brings the route, tour stops and audio stories together in one app, helping you explore Ireland at your own pace.

DOWNLOAD TOURS FOR OFFLINE PLAYBACK

Prepare before you set off by downloading your chosen tour over Wi-Fi or mobile data. Downloaded narration and tour content remain available when mobile coverage fades along Ireland's coast and countryside.
