About this app

New App My SmartBike, by MAHLE, provides you an enhanced e-bike riding experience by using your smartphone as the interface to your bicycle. Our application is designed to help tune, customize e-bike performance and enjoy your trips. Connect with your e-bike and adjust your preferences, customize motor maps to adapt the MAHLE SmartBike System to your personal necessities, remaining batteries, record your activities, have access to statistics, see bike location and more.

If you need detailed information and a dynamic experience, our web app (www.my-smartbike.com) enables you to analyze the routes in detail and graphically comparing data as elevation, health-related data and exclusive metrics from e-bikes, the tour on maps and share it through third platforms.

Ratings and reviews

Two big issues. 1 Data display is not always accurate while riding. After recording ends it seems to true up but disconcerting while riding. 2 no way to edit. so my phone died at the end of the ride. I drove home and charged up 2 hours later. it added the mileage and time to home. But I can't edit it to correct. this could affect total mileage recorded for the bike. glad it wasn't a 400 mile trip home! Plus at least twice, rides were finished and saved and then disappeared totally.

Good and useful app, just a few UI issues, such as having a big "Start" button (grey color, in the dark mode) almost in the middle of the screen, covering the live information when you go to the middle tab. It's there until I start recording my activity! It's so annoying. Sometimes I don't want to START recording my activity but want to see the speed, etc., without this button blocking my view while riding! It's very distracting.

[M35+] Good once it's connected. I only use with a pulsometer to govern the assistance. Still frequent connection setup problems, the phone can see the b/t devices, app can't. Occasional mid-cycle app failures are annoying. Would be better if 'actual motor power' was graphed, not the 'assistance-level' - which is meaningless, there's no assist > 25kph, at any level. News screen? for app updates maybe, I already bought the bike. Need larger font, basic screens, a good point made by others.
