the app. It sucks, using your credit card?
Making bad even worse Slow and clunky, now you have even more steps to purchase and activate a ticket. That's when it doesn't hang. Great to have a conductor standing there waiting for it to load. If it doesn't, even if you have tickets in your "wallet", payment is demanded usually with surcharge. App is on par with quality of MBTA and Keolis in general which deserves less than a star.
Even after their most recent "update" it has become even harder to use and even more unreliable. I had to purchase the same ticket THREE TIMES before it would activate once! This is unacceptable! Also, brilliant idea making the schedule require an internet connection. So now when you are down on a platform that does not have wifi (most of them) you have to use your data to check the schedule, (or a separate app) providing you can get a signal.
Not much of a fix since the upgrade 2 stars for not having to stand in line, but everything else . . . The worst thing I've noticed is that the app resets itself so soon after you activate the ticket that you have to start the process over again by the time the conductor gets to you. Conductors on the outbound peak hour trains on my line don't even bother to make sure you even have a paid ticket half the time because they'd never finish checking the rest of the passengers if they waited for everyone's apps to load.
"Accept & Pay" not clickable. Cannot purchase ticket I installed the app, tried to purchase a ticket, entered my credit card info (double and triple checking it was valid) and the"Accept & Pay" button still appeared greyed out and disabled. I had to buy the ticket at the physical ticket kiosk instead.
So broken Purchased tickets disappear. App forgets device is registered. I recommend you only buy 1 ticket at a time without logging in.
