People who didn't like it should read this I read a lot of people's bad reviews on this app and you guys need to understand that this app is super useful for the commuter rail. It's made specifically for the commuter rail, not the subway. Know the difference! It's a great app and let's you purchase the ticket anywhere. Just don't activate the ticket until you've boarded. I read one persons comment that it only lasts for 1.5 hours- which is the max duration of a train ride. That's why the app tells you to activate AFTER boarding. It's a great app.
Purchasing tickets is nominally functional, but everything else is awful. The UX is pretty awful, with every screen displaying a "please wait" mask until you dismiss it. The way schedules are displayed is bizarre. They write "04:25" for 4:25pm, which suggests the developers are just as bad at understanding the nature of time as they are app navigation.
It works, but simple changes needed for efficient user experience 1. Like other users have said, Make a "home line" button accesable as soon as you open the app. I only use the Nwbry/Rckprt line, yet I have to click schedules> schedules>Nwbry/Rckprt every time. 2. If I look at my phone's calednar I have to repeat the process since it brings me back to the home page when I switch apps. Bring me back to where I was. 3. Peak trains should be indicated through icons or different font so bicyclists know when they can bring their bike. 2 stars until you listen to your users.
Garbage, activation only good for 1.5 hours What they neglect to tell you is if you activate your ticket and miss your train you have 1.5 hours to use it or it is no good. Nice job neglecting to inform the user after the fact. I lost 15 dollars using this app
It is SO annoying that every time I either get a text, a call or I minimize the app it goes to the start page! Why can't it just bring me back to where I was? Maybe also a detailed map that is interactive and brings up Google maps when you click on the train stops? Other than that it's a great app. Please fix!
Useless This app doesn't have Haymarket or Gov. Center, which are the 2 most used train stations in Boston. What is the point of this app? I thought I would just be able to add money, like a Charlie card, and tap it on a bus or train station. But no, it needs to know where ur going and where ur coming from in order to purchase. Useless app, at least for me.
Bug fix for users with Android 4.4
