For owners with model year 2019 or newer vehicles*, the Mercedes-Benz app gives you access to your vehicle from anywhere.

With the Mercedes-Benz app on your device, you have direct access to your vehicle at all times. View data like mileage, fuel level and more, find your vehicle’s location, or take action with convenient features like Remote Engine Start and Remote Lock/Unlock.

2022 S Class, yet this app is nearly useless. I can't remote start the car if I left the windows down an inch. And the app can tell me the windows are open, but won't let me close them. It also won't let me remote start the car if there's less than 137 miles to empty. Why? I think I can find a gas station within 100 miles, and the car only runs for 10 min remotely, so it won't even use 10 miles worth of gas. My Ford Explorer app gives me more features by far.

the app requires the doors to be locked when starting the ignition remotely. fine. so just include door locking as part of the ignition process. don't make us fart around with waiting on an extra step. the app periodically asked for a PIN number. that's just stupid. the app already requires a biometric login. that's good enough by far. I'll say the app on my 6-year-old Jaguar is substantially better than this one.

The one feature that I would like is an easier solution to shutting off the internal movement alarm. We take our dog with us any time the weather is cool enough and shutting this off so he doesn't set off the alarm is a multi click selection and hard to find. It would be nice to have a custom choice of most used features for easy access right on the front page. earlier versions of this app were easier to use for this.
