Run your Alexa routines without repeating the same command every time.

Buttons for Alexa turns the Alexa commands you already use into quick Android shortcuts. Record the command once, then run it later from a home-screen widget, Android Auto, the app itself, Tasker or a compatible automation.

Get started in a few steps
1. Create the routine you want in the official Alexa app.
2. Sign in with your Amazon account in Buttons for Alexa.
3. Record the audio command that triggers the routine.
4. Add a widget or choose another way to launch it.

Use it for the routines you reach for every day: open the gate or garage, turn lights on or off, start Bedtime, switch on heating or air conditioning, run an “I’m home” routine, or build a simple control panel on an Android tablet.

Widgets
Create customizable home-screen buttons for your saved Alexa routines. Choose the actions you use most and keep them one tap away.

Android Auto
Launch your saved Alexa routines directly from Android Auto. Useful for actions such as opening the gate, turning on driveway lights or preparing the house before you arrive.

Automation
Use the dedicated Tasker integration and external Android intents to connect saved Alexa commands to compatible automation workflows. This can include NFC tags, shortcuts, smartwatch actions, Google Home setups that invoke the provided intents, events or other compatible Android automation tools.

Optional follow-up answer
Some Alexa commands need a second reply. In Advanced settings, “Optional answer to Alexa” lets you save a predefined follow-up such as a PIN, name or time and send it after the first command when needed.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! After installing the app, configuring the Alexa actions, setting up the voice commands and installing the widgets...it turned out I had to upgrade to PRO if I want to use it!!! This was a real waste of time. Also, if you have to pay for it, they could have spent a bit more time in the graphic design for the widget. Very rudimentary.

The GREATEST! One of my favorite automation tools. I use this on a page of my phone screen for a custom control panel to control anything in the house. Perfect for late night when you don't want to shout Alexa commands. Use png images for nice icons! In years it's almost never failed. So simple yet so useful! UPDATE: years later and this is one of the first apps on any new phone or tablet I get! Thanks to backups, all my original control widgets still working perfectly. Such a great tool!

This app does exactly what I was looking for. I had a previous way of getting buttons/ widgets on my phone but it stopped working. I was afraid I would not be able to get another similar app/service since different smart home devices and manufacturers don't work well together. This app delivers where everything else lacks. With the Simple Commands service I am able to get automation done that even Alexa can't do on its own. I highly recommend this app. Pay for it you won't regret it!!!!
