Ratings and reviews

Overall it's a nice visual upgrade. I like the integration of cycling and park and rides - both essential options to accommodate the sprawling population in NI. There is one major oversight however. I don't see the ability to track buses on a map which was possible in the previous app. This functionality is essential to giving users a sense of progress in their journeys and that's why it exists in every taxi app in Belfast. That functionality should be reinstated.

It's decent since it shows routes and fares and has detailed step-by-step instructions. But it doesn't let you purchase tickets; you need a separate app for that. Overall though it's inferior to Google Maps, which gives info like crowdedness and lets you see the path on a map.

When I opened the app today to buy my ticket it had kicked me out since I last used it. It would not let me back in so I went for a password reset and.........I'm still trying to reset my password hours later!! I got the code to my email okay, but every time I try to reset I get an unexpected error message. Luckily I had the old plastic day journey card with me so was able to get the bus. Very poor experience. Maybe a cashless future of apps on phones is not all it's cracked up to be!

What’s new

Public bike journeys are now available to plan using Belfast's Beryl Bikes. Get live bike information including how many are at the bike station, the bike type and the option to reserve a bike.
