About this app

Point your camera at an open fridge. MealGuard AI reads the photo, lists the ingredients it recognises, and turns them into recipes you can cook tonight — filtered by your allergens, your diet and your calorie goal.

WHAT IT DOES

Fridge & Pantry Scan
Photograph the shelf and the AI lists the ingredients it finds. Recognition is not perfect, so you review the list, remove what is wrong and add what the camera could not see — then cook from what you already own instead of throwing it out.

AI Recipe Suggestions
Personalised recipes built from your actual ingredients. Filter by cuisine, prep time and dietary preference. Every suggestion is checked against the allergens and excluded ingredients in your Health Profile.

Plate Calorie Estimate
Snap your finished plate for a calorie and macro estimate. Tell the app the plate size and whether the dish is shared, tap any number to correct it, add the drink or the oil the camera cannot see, then save it to today's diary. These are AI estimates, not laboratory measurements.

Barcode Scan
Scan a packaged product and pull the nutrition values printed on the label from Open Food Facts, the open community food database. Pick a portion in grams and log it.

Meal Log & Daily Goals
A simple daily diary for calories and protein, sorted into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Set your targets by hand, or let the app work out a personal target from your age, height, weight, activity level and goal.

Allergen Filtering
Declare your allergens and excluded ingredients once and every recipe is filtered against them. Filtering lowers the risk; it cannot rule out cross-contamination, so always read the packaging yourself.

Shopping List
Build a shopping list straight from the recipes you picked.

Lab & Report Analysis
Upload a photo or PDF of a blood test or similar report and get a plain-language explanation of what the markers mean, plus questions worth asking your doctor. Educational reading only, not a diagnosis.

Fridge photos, plate photos and uploaded reports are sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider, Google Gemini, for that single request. We do not store those images on our servers — only the text result is kept in your account. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and your data is not used to train AI models. Ingredient recognition, calorie figures and macro figures are AI estimates and can be wrong — review them before you rely on them. Allergen filtering depends entirely on what you enter in your Health Profile and cannot account for cross-contamination during manufacturing or preparation; if you have a severe allergy, verify every label yourself and carry your prescribed medication.
