Media Shredder permanently destroys photos and videos by overwriting the raw file data with 3 passes of cryptographic noise before deletion — making recovery substantially harder than a normal delete.

A standard delete simply removes the directory entry; the underlying bytes remain on disk and are recoverable with basic tools. Media Shredder writes over every byte of each file — three times — then removes it from the file system.

HOW IT WORKS
Media Shredder uses Android's MediaStore API to access your selected files and perform secure in-place overwriting via the ContentResolver. No special file access permissions beyond standard media access are required.
