There are two bugs that annoy me. First, if you rename a file where the only change is a lower case to upper case letter, it won't let you -- it thinks they are the identical filename. They are not. "Blah" is different from "blah". Also, when you click on "Locations" the highlight is always on "Internal Storage" even if you came from somewhere else. It should highlight the current directory. That way if I am viewing the SD card for example and I want to change to somewhere else, it is the SD card that is highlighted, showing where I am, then I click where I want to go and that becomes highlighted. These are easy fixes. I could fix the code in 10 minutes. Please fix and I will give 5 stars.
This application is getting worse after each update. The previous version when you selected a picture to view gives you an option to select one of the applications to open it as just once or always. You selected Always and you continued with that app opening the picture. Not anymore. For each picture you want to open you have to repeat which app you have to choose every time you choose one. What a stupid thing to do. I am considering to find a new app that can give me a faster an convenient way to reach my documents and access them.
Absolutely the most user friendly file and resource management app. The inclusion of access to multiple cloud storage services virtually eliminates the need to install all the individual apps usually required to access all of your files. With Astro, access to Gdrive, Box, Dropbox and One Drive is almost seemles. The ability to move files between different clouds inside one application turns Astro into a powerful "super cloud". The ability to manage your installed apps, while also providing app backup services means that you won't have to fear updates that may "break" your favorite apps, because you will be able to revert to the last functional version. Superb features, beautifully executed.
No hassle file explorer. Other file explorers have really started to annoy with the advertisements and unwanted extra features they want to dump on users. Astro has kept it simple just as needed. Loving it...
Good solid file manager; UI not perfectly intuitive. Major downtick is that error reporting address embedded in program comes back 'does not exist'.
I've used this ever since I had my first Kindle Fire, it always was there when I needed a file compressed or decompressed. (Don't mean to make this a stereotypical advert but…) it's fast, free, easy, and reliable!
