About this app

Oathly is a social habit tracker built on accountability with friends. Make a pact — what you'll do, how often, and the stakes if you miss. Prove it with a photo, keep your streak, and let the forfeit count when you don't.

Check in with a photo taken in the app. Your friend confirms it, or calls you out. Miss, and the forfeit you agreed goes on a shared ledger you can both see.

HOW IT WORKS
- Make a pact: daily, a few times a week, or a one-off with a deadline
- Send your friend a link. They open it, sign in, and join
- Check in with a photo, or an honour tap if that's what you agreed
- Your partner approves it or rejects it
- Build a streak. Miss, and the forfeit is recorded against you
- Settle up in real life, then you both mark it done

OATHLY NEVER TOUCHES MONEY
The forfeit is between you and your friend. Oathly writes it down and keeps score. It does not take payments, hold funds, move money or process a transfer, and it never will. The ledger is bookkeeping between two people and nothing more. What you owe each other, and whether you pay it, is entirely up to you.

YOUR PROOF STAYS BETWEEN YOU
Proof photos are visible only to the members of that pact. There is no public feed, no discovery, no browsing strangers. Location data written into a photo by your camera is stripped on your phone before the photo is uploaded, so a check-in from home does not tell anyone where you live.

A QUIET APP
The reminders you set for yourself are capped at three a day and never land between 10pm and 8am. Your partner checking in, approving a photo or missing a day reaches you when it happens — that is the whole point of doing this with someone else.

OATHLY PRO
A subscription. One free pact is enough to see whether this works for you; Pro gives you unlimited pacts, and one streak freeze a month for the days life genuinely gets in the way.

Streak Repair is sold separately, as a one-off, and is only ever offered after a miss has already happened. The pact is told the streak was repaired rather than the miss being quietly erased.

Signing in takes a moment — with Apple, with Google, or with a six-digit code sent to your email. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings.

No ads. No feed. No followers. One friend and one promise is the whole product.

What’s new

Nothing you will notice, and one thing worth saying out loud.

This build adds a growth measurement tool called Layers. It counts how the app is used so we can see whether people come back. It never receives your email, your name, a pact title, a stake, a note, or a check-in photo.

It does not use the advertising identifier on your phone. We took that part out on purpose, so the promise in our privacy policy stays true.
