It was connected with a lot of work and trying when I first got the system. It kept disconnecting, and I couldn't see when I was away, which is the whole point of having a camera surveillance system. I finally reset the DVR and tried many, many times unsuccessfully. Does not connect, and Amcrest is unhelpful. I am very disappointed and at this point considering getting another brand all together. The app is useless, and the monitoring is not accomplished. Zero is more suitable.

Latest update broke playback feature. I am unable to view anything past 1:00 in the afternoon. Update: 4/2024 I replaced my NVR and it fixed the playback issue. Now after the latest update I can't edit the camera schedules for push notifications. The app crashes when you try to edit the time. Hopefully this will get fixed with another update. The cameras work great. I have installed around 50 of them at multiple locations with only a couple failures over several years.

I had a lot of trouble trying to connect the cameras from an extender system to a mesh system. I did a hard boot on the router and created a mesh system with the extender. I tried way too many tries to co next the two amcrest cameras. I had no trouble switching wifi 120 volt plugs over, reconnecting 3 android phones, a Tablo DVR, 3 Smart TVs, and a PC. But finally, I uninstalled the Amcrest View Pro app & and reinstalled the app. Set both cameras up in about 5 minutes. All is well that ends well
