An explanation of the permissions we seek when you install the m-Indicator app:

1. Location: We use fine and Coarse Location for the Cabs feature in which you can easily compare the prices from Well-known Cab Services such as Uber & Ola.

2. Call Log: We use this for identifying relative's Mobile Number in Women Safety feature.

3. Send SMS: We use this permission to automatically send Text Messages to the Relatives in Women Safety feature.

4. Receive SMS: We need this permission to read PNR SMS.

5. Storage: In Express Section, user can save and share the screenshot of Running Status, Seat Availability and Coach Position.

Ratings and reviews

I am giving this app a zero rating because it is completely unreliable. Mindicator never shows the correct running status of trains. Due to the wrong information displayed by this app, I trusted it and missed my train. This caused me unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and loss of time. An app meant to help passengers should provide accurate and real-time updates, but Mindicator fails badly at this. I would strongly advise others not to rely on this app for train running status.

changing review after 2013. some bugs: live locations: taped yes (inside train) and continues even after journey is completed, resulting not allowing to share live on other trains. many times fails to show live location. Time table: Some are wrong.

it is easy to use, very friendly but as time being passed it has been showing lots of inaccuracy, sometimes it's shows it on the boarding station but it's already gone through the station, dependency on this app is getting too low by day it needs to get a regular updates from the local trains, you cannot completely rely on the trains location through app
