About this app

Monairo is a shared budget and expense tracker for couples and households. Log spending by voice, tap or receipt in seconds, share one live ledger with your partner – on Android or iPhone – and see what each purchase does to your budget before you save it.

Made for quick moments: leaving a shop, paying for the weekly food shop, checking what's left before the weekend. Calm and clear, with no ads, no streaks and no cluttered dashboards.

LOG AN EXPENSE IN SECONDS
• Voice entry: say "five pounds for coffee" and Monairo fills in the amount, currency and category for you to check. Speech uses your phone's speech service.
• Quick add: a one-handed keypad. Manual entries save offline and sync when you're back online.
• Receipt scanner: snap a receipt and its text is read on your phone, then split into categorised line items you can review.
• Multi-currency: every expense keeps its original currency; household totals convert once an exchange rate is available.
• Widget and shortcut: see today's spending on your home screen, or long-press the app icon to log an expense by voice.

BUDGET TOGETHER
• Shared household ledger: invite your partner or family and see each other's spending as it's logged, whatever phone they use.
• Monthly category budgets for groceries, eating out, transport or anything you want to keep an eye on.
• Budget check while you log: before you save an expense, Monairo shows how much would be left in that budget, so you know whether it fits.
• Bills and subscriptions: recurring charges are detected, so upcoming payments are easy to see.
• Savings goals, investments and net worth alongside your everyday spending.

AUTOMATIC CAPTURE (PRO)
• Android notification capture: purchases from Google Wallet and supported banking apps such as Revolut, Monzo, Starling and N26 become draft expenses for you to confirm.
• UK and EU bank sync: connect supported banks through TrueLayer open banking and transactions arrive automatically.
• Duplicate review: when a bank transaction looks like something you already logged, Monairo matches the two so the purchase isn't counted twice. Matches can be reviewed, and original records are kept.

INSIGHTS (PRO)
• Spending trends, category breakdowns and a 30, 60 and 90-day spending forecast once you have four weeks of history.
• AI insights: a monthly summary, a plain-language reason when a category jumps, and answers to questions about your spending.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No ads, and we never sell your data.
• Bank connection tokens and AI keys stay on our servers and never reach your phone. The cache on your device is encrypted.
• AI insights are processed by the cloud AI provider named in our privacy policy.
• Export your expenses to CSV, import OFX or CSV bank statements, and delete your account from inside the app.

• Free: up to 3 entries a day by voice, typing or receipt.
• Pro: unlimited entries, budgets, analytics, AI insights, goals, sharing invites, automatic capture and bank sync.
• Solo is billed monthly for one person. Duo (yearly) includes your partner at no extra cost. Family (yearly) covers up to 4 members.
• Every plan starts with a 3-month free trial for eligible Google Play accounts. Your local price is shown before you subscribe.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Monairo is a budget app for couples and households, not a bill-splitting app: it doesn't calculate who owes whom or move money.
• Budget checks happen when you log an expense. Monairo can't block a card payment.
• Bank sync depends on your bank and country. Everywhere else, log by voice, tap or receipt, or import statements.
