Using Music Writer you can compose, create and edit sheet music on your phone or tablet.

Editing the score,
- Add, remove and edit notes on two independent layers
- Change time signature, key signature and clef for individual measures
- Copy, paste or remove parts of the score
- Change the instrument for a staff
- Add expression, articulation, slur and repeats to the sheet music
- Add lyrics to your music
- Add, remove or reorder staves
- Set title, subtitle and composer
- Show or hide tempo marking

Ratings and reviews

I love the app, it's super easy to navigate though, it's nice to be able to write music when ever I can on my phone, and I love it's simplicity, but for me one thing is missing, I'm not seeing the crazy things lile left hand pizzacato marking, and some other crazy stuff, but otherwise this app is super good, adds are basically minimal, and you can hear the notes when you place them to know if you put the correct note.

Edit: This app is getting better every day. The devs are adding a new feature and/or a new notation symbol with each update released every 2-3 days. I have tested all the notation apps available for Android except one of them (that is paid with no trial), and at the moment Music Writer is in my opinion the winner among them all in ease of use, features, price, quality and any other possible factors. I'm really excited about the future of this app, because it is going to make my dreams come true.

It works very well, although I wish there were a less cumbersome to input chords. What really takes this down a couple notches is the fact the premium is a subscription and not a one-time purchase. I use this app to write down ideas when I'm away from my computer and the fact it wants me to pay a fee over and over and over to export to XML rubs me the wrong way. Definite five star if a one time purchase is available.
