AccessibilityService Usage

Restart: Power Menu [No Root] uses the Android AccessibilityService API to perform its main function: opening the system Power Menu.

When you choose to open the Power Menu from the app, the AccessibilityService is used to request the Android system to display the device’s Power Menu.

The app does not automatically restart or shut down your device. After the Power Menu is displayed, you manually choose the action you want to perform.

AccessibilityService is only used for this Power Menu functionality and is enabled by the user through Android Accessibility settings.

My HTCU12+ has an "iffy" pressure sensitive button to access the "Restart, Shutdown & Airplane Mode" menu. Rather than spend time being frustrated trying to get the button to work so I can access the menu - something that I do frequently - this super little App just gives me an on-screen option to do so. Fabulous! All you need to do is to grant the App the necessary access & off you go! If using an "App Killer" (forcibly close Apps running in the background) you may need to grant access again.

I totally recommend this app. My power button's broken, and after a few days, my phone started lagging since I couldn't restart it. But this app lets me restart my phone, and it’s running smoothly again. Just a heads-up, if your power button’s not working, make sure to use the Restart option in the app, not Power Off, to avoid any issues.

It works. The problem is: only once. Everytime I click the button once, the button will not work for a 2nd time unless I "clear all data" from the app. Kinda inconvenient, but at least the app does its job of rebooting a phone whose power button doesn't work.
