MyneTogether has been developed from a Dallas based social sector organisation, Behind Every Door. After 10 years, we saw data flow away from the people it is about and who we are meant to be helping. In addition, we found data collection is time-consuming, uses multiple systems and is often inconsistent, incomplete, and inefficient, disrupting the most powerful factor: the mutual relationship. We want to change social sector mindset on data collection, who is it for, and why do we collect it.
We built our software with the understanding that people thrive when we have:
Healthy Relationships: with competent others who provide presence, empathy, warmth, emotional and physical safety, and give us their attention
Self Agency: the ability to know we have choices, we are capable, empowered
and that this creates dignity and builds self esteem. And, that we are accountable to those choices.
Opportunities: to access resources and opportunities, and with help to see where they are and what is available.
So, we built our software so that individuals, communities and social sector organisations have

DISCOVERY: Collecting, sharing & understanding data helps us learn about ourselves
COMMUNITY: We need others to grow healthy individuals, families and societies
The current platform includes a staff mobile app, admin web dashboard, and web-responsive app to incentivize achievement through gamification and awareness.
We use gamification tools such as points, leaderboard and reward systems, because not only do they reflect our brain's wiring, but in using them, our young people tell us they help them to be seen, be valued and get the physical assets that they need.
