About this app

Many has heard about such things, as the session hijaking, wifi kill, steal cookies, or a spoofing of network traffic. It can be a long talk about what can do the dirty dog with necessary tools in open networks... This application is designed for anyone who is serious about the security of personal data and does not intend to tolerate such antics in open wi-fi networks.

Base functions:
• Protection from any network attacks, beginning with the arp spoofing/arp poisoning.
• Three Program modes (warning, invulnerability, recovery).
• Auto Off Wifi when it detects an attack in non-root mode carried out on you (set out in settings).
• Notification about attack (vibration, sound, a notice containing information on the attack).
• When superuser mode is available to you, making your device immune to such attacks (using a static gateway address). There is no need of such like warning in this mode.

Extra features available for unlocking:
• Functions of permanent job, allow you to add an application to the startup, as well as to prohibit the system to unload the program from memory. Once the application is launched, you can no longer worry about personal information.
• AD removal from the application.

The main reason I use this app is to disconnect my device from wireless routers I do not wish to connect with. There are apps or system apps on my phone that automatically connect me to a wireless network in range. I shut off every switch possible without success. Until I root my device, I may never know which apps are responsible for this action. Until then, ARP Guard is my best defense to protect me from my device automatically connecting to wireless routers other than my own router at home!

Works great! I tested using a Python library called Scapy, it allows me to spoof MAC addresses. ARP Guard detected the irregularity and notified me. Also detected a public Best Buy network that my phone was connecting to automatically, it was the store I bought my phone from and I forgot to turn off auto connect to WiFi. ARP Guard essentially acts like an IDS, it won't stop or prevent unwanted connections but it will do its job letting you know when another device is connecting.

A necessity? Maybe but other than clicking all the options on and clicking the shield from red to black if the gateway Mac seems the same 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷‍♂️ , and being the only Android option of its kind by a developer who knows their shtt, I say get it, use it, and if it warns you, just do what you can to handle those warnings, like reset your router or get off that public/friend's hotspot. As is, don't trust any device or network you didn't build yourself in a cave 1 mile deep in Antarctica. 🤟🏽
