NearVox connects people nearby by voice, completely without internet, without a mobile network and without sign-up. A dead zone in the mountains, a building site with no reception or simply out on the road: when your network goes quiet, you keep talking.
The intercom you already carry:
An intercom for the whole group, with no extra devices and no monthly fees.
No special equipment needed:
NearVox works with what you already use. AirPods, wireless earbuds, a simple helmet headset, even wired headphones. There is nothing to buy on top and nothing to bolt onto your helmet.
This is how simple it is:
One person starts a group, and their phone provides its own Wi-Fi network for it. Everyone else scans a QR code and is right there. No setup, no phone numbers, no accounts. Designed for every age: large type, clear buttons, nothing you can get wrong.
No fiddly pairing:
Anyone who has tried to link several Bluetooth intercoms together knows the problem. With NearVox there is no cross-pairing and no order that has to be right. One person starts, everyone scans, done. If you change the order along the way, the group still stays together.
Ideal for:
• Motorbike tours and bike tours in a group
• Hiking, skiing and mountain trips
• Convoys and car pools
• Building sites, halls and events
• Anywhere the mobile network gives up
Features:
• Hands-free for the whole group, everyone talking at once as on a phone call
• Works completely offline over its own Wi-Fi network
• Join by QR code, connected in seconds
• Automatic host handover: if the phone that started the group drops out, another device takes over seamlessly and the group carries on
• Automatic reconnection after a brief moment out of range, with no new scan
• An honest signal meter, so you can see when the connection is getting weaker
• Battery warning by spoken announcement
• Bluetooth headsets and helmet microphones are supported
Good to know:
NearVox works over Wi-Fi, so the range depends on your surroundings and on the distance between you. It works best when you are travelling close together. For long distances at speed, a radio set is the better choice.
Privacy on principle:
NearVox collects no data. There are no accounts, no real names, no advertising and no tracking. Conversations run straight from device to device and are neither stored nor sent to a server.
Pricing:
Groups of two people are free permanently. For larger groups, from three people upwards, a single Pro purchase unlocks every seat, with no subscription.
