I really liked shadow weather at first. The widget options were clean and to the point. However, after a while, one of the widgets stopped updating automatically, and I would have to open the app to get it to update. I would use this app to plan my clothing for the day and started to notice I felt way hotter than the "75°" it proclaimed. I don't know where it gets its data from, but it has been wrong for about two weeks now so I'm done with it. Also, you can not specify location.

Dropped 2 stars No longer getting notifications for severe alerts or lightning. I cleared all data and uninstalled and reinstalled. Again still a great weather app. Would be awesome if it could integrate with Android Auto. I think that would cement it as the best. Found my Dark Sky replacement. This thing rocks and the developer is responsive and will add features that you suggest! SPC Outlooks are a great addition to the maps and the forecast is typically very accurate.

I am in the middle of transitioning between severe alerts providers. The expired alerts will stop when I finish that transition. You should only get one notification per alert. You get a notification if an alert is modified. So it might look like the same alert, but maybe it was extended or changed. For more email me; I only get 350 letters.

Shadow Weather had been a great replacement since the loss of Dark Sky, but notification have become mostly unreliable. Out of 6 weather alerts I should have gotten today, my iPad received 1 and my Android phone received 1 other. Lightning alerts have also been missing for a month or more. All of these events do appear within the app, but there are no notifications despite being enabled in app and system settings. Missing several storm and tornado warnings today was just unacceptable.
