Ratings and reviews

No way to sort albums or images (name, date, size). Has decent editing ability, but for an app whose main purpose is storage, lacking anything other than just making a named folder makes this feel like a complete failure. Somehow Samsung is the only developer with a dedicated gallery app that can do this basic function. It also seems like it removed the ability to add any text when editing images.

Had to uninstall the Oct 15 update on account when editing from the gallery I'm unable to save. It says "SD card not detected" and gives no option to save the edited photo someplace else. This is specific to choosing a still photo in Gallery and editing. This error doesn't occur when editing video, and editing photos outside of Gallery works just fine. I also wish there were a way to sort anything. Trying to find albums is difficult without being able to control the random mishmosh display.

I like the way the UI looks, but the editing tools are not as good or plentiful as Google Photos. Right after I took a photo I couldn't edit with Google Photos within the camera app without leaving that app, and opening the photo in the Google Photos. There is no way to type or markup a photo. The cropping is not as intuitive on photos and non-existent for videos. I couldn't find a way for Google Photos to be the camera's default app. So I uninstalled Gallery.
